New Jersey, U.S.S.

The last commissioned battleship, it has now been decommissioned for the last time.  USS New Jersey (BB-62) was last used in Desert Storm in the fake amphibious assault along the Kuwaiti coast line.  This was one of four Iowa class battleships.  All had as their central weapon nine 16 inch guns.  Each gun fired a two ton projectile.  This is the historical association site for the New Jersey: BB-62 New Jersey Battleship.

Nimitz, U.S.S.

P-3C Orion

The P-3 is a four-engined turboprop maritime patrol aircraft primarily intended for anit-submarine warfare.  Built on the frames of Lockheed Electra airliners, the aircraft flies slow and low but is deadly against submarines.  This aircraft has been in service with the U.S. Navy since 1961 but has undergone numerous reurbishments.  For additional information: P-3C Orion Long-range ASW aircraft.

RAH-66 Comanche

The Comanche is a stealthy scout helicopter just about to enter service with the U.S. Army.  The Comanche is intended to support the AH-64 Apache attack helicopters.  For additional information: RAH-66 Comanche scout/attack helicopter

RF-4C

The RF-4C variant of the F-4 Phantom fighter first appeared in 1964 as a tactical reconnaissance aircraft.  For additional information: RF-4C.
