2. No, I am not at work on a new book called "On the Field of Battle." I think I might dispatch the "real" Mr. Clark to see that Adam Nomuri puke. References to his postings do not amuse me, people. But you all have First Amendment rights.


3. Something that's bugged me for a long time. Some yahoo posted something about my wearing a scarf designated for Medal of Honor recipients, "to be worn when wearing the medal is not appropriate." Or something like that, and suggesting that my wearing it was grossly inappropriate. I'd like to punch that jackass on the nose. The scarf is from an F-15 squadron based (in 1985) at Langley AFB in Virginia. How is it that none of you ever noticed that idiocy?


4. There will be two (2) more Ryan novels. I've been persuaded to embark on something entirely new and unanticipated. Working (interim) title is "The Red Rabbit." That's too stylized and will probably change in due course. "Rabbit" in this case is a term of art.
5. But the novel behind that one, currently code-named HITS, will, probably be the last Ryan epic, unless I change my mind, of course. HITS will be rather exciting and totally different from anything I've ever done, but there is much background work I have to do first.
